CEO and Co-Founder
Kirt founded Area 23a with one mission in mind: to combine his nearly two decades of expertise in producing, financing, and theatrical distribution with vitally important event-driven and issue-based documentaries. Under his direction, award-winning films such as GLEN CAMPBELL...I'LL BE ME achieve critical and commercial success through traditional theatrical distribution, privately-hosted events, and sponsored nationwide tours. In addition, Kirt is the founder of Ocule Films through which he specializes in international sales and production. He has developed and produced projects alongside Forest Whitaker, John Badham, and Bruce Beresford, produced documentaries such as PORN STAR: THE LEGEND OF RON JEREMY, and regularly attends international film markets such as Cannes, MIPTV, and MIPCOM.
